2024 Swim-a-thon
The El Dorado Swim Team Swim-a-thon is a fundraiser in which participants earn money for our swim team by swimming lengths of the pool. Swimmers have a one-hour period to swim as many lengths as they can. Participants get pledges from businesses, family, neighbors, etc. prior to swimming. Some sponsors choose to give a set amount of money (regardless of the number of lengths swum) while others get pledges per length and collect the money prior to the Swim-a-thon event. This is our teams’ biggest fundraiser of the year in order to secure funds for much needed equipment. It is also an excellent opportunity for our team to combine swimming and a social event, boost team spirit and increase community awareness of the team.
